AI & XR Production
Connecting physical cinematography with real-time virtual worlds.
My research in XR and spatial video focuses on creating a unified workflow between physical cinematography and real-time virtual production. Using ARRI UMC-4/DCS lens data, I developed a working pipeline that translates live focus and iris changes into Unreal Engine, allowing virtual assets to respond with matching depth of field and exposure.
I have also established a lighting workflow that synchronises physical fixtures with virtual lighting, enabling both environments to be controlled through a grandMA console. The result is a consistent visual language across real and digital imagery, applicable to spatial video, XR production and AI-assisted green-screen compositing.
