Dongli is a cinematographer working between London and Shanghai. His relationship with images began through photography, later developing into a practice shaped by film, observation and visual storytelling. He trained in cinematography at Vancouver Film School and continued his film studies at the University for the Creative Arts.

Working across commercial and narrative projects, Dongli approaches each film without imposing a fixed visual signature. Instead, he builds the image around the story, using light, movement, texture and composition to reflect the people and emotions within it.

His work is driven by curiosity, collaboration and a belief that the most memorable images are not simply beautiful, but deeply human.
